The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) commenced the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) board examinations 2026 on 10 February 2026. The Class 12 exams are scheduled to run until 11 March 2026, covering all streams including Science, Commerce and Arts. Thousands of examination centres across the state will host the tests in two shifts.

According to the latest updates, the MSBSHSE has released the HSC exam timetable 2026, with written examinations starting from 10 February and concluding on 11 March 2026. Practical and project assessments were held earlier as per board schedule. More than 13 lakh students are registered statewide, with exams being conducted in 3,387 main centres using tens of thousands of classrooms. The board has arranged CCTV monitoring in over 85 per cent of exam halls to enhance supervision. Students must appear at their allotted venues on time and are instructed to be seated at least 30 minutes before the scheduled exam starts to prevent late entries.

  • Increased supervision at sensitive exam centres with replaced staff and stricter checks.
  • Strict prohibitions on malpractice with legal action under the Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act.

Additionally, police and board officials are engaged in ensuring orderly conduct at select locations, applying rules such as restricted access at key board offices and secure movement of question materials.

Students appearing for the HSC board exams 2026 should follow these guidelines:

  • Carry printed admit cards and valid ID as required by MSBSHSE protocols.
  • Reach the exam centre well before the reporting time specified, as late arrival may not be permitted.
  • Follow all exam hall decorum and security instructions, including baggage checks and restricted items policies.
  • Adhere strictly to exam timings most theory papers are conducted in two shifts (morning and afternoon).

After the conclusion of theory papers on 11 March 2026, MSBSHSE is likely to begin evaluation procedures.
