Students participating in the first round of counselling should follow the following essential steps for a stress-free process.
Step 1: Allotment result check
Access the CAP portal with the help of the login ID and password. Once you have logged in, download the allotment letter on the dashboard.
Step 2: Handover the Seat (2- 4 August 2025)
Select one out of three choices to go with seat acceptance.
- Option A is what is called Auto Freeze, and this involves, in the event of the seat being the first preference, it is locked automatically.
- Option B is Self Freeze, where they will be able to manually lock the seat in case they are satisfied with it.
- The best option is C, Betterment. The seat is not frozen, so this candidate is not out of Round 2 yet.
Once the choice is made, do the online payment of the seat acceptance fee.
Step 3: Report to Allotted Institute
On 2-4 August, go to the assigned college. Make submissions of the required details in order to confirm admission. After this, you should take your receipt of confirmation of admission granted by the institute.
