Seat Acceptance Rules for CAP Round-III
Candidates are required to adhere to the following rules to confirm their seats:
- First-time Allotment: Candidates must self-verify the allotment, accept the seat, and pay the online seat acceptance fee.
- Allotment in First Six Preferences (Auto-Freeze): If a candidate is allotted a seat in their first six preferences, the allotment is auto-frozen. Candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee and cannot participate in further rounds.
- Allotment Beyond First Six Preferences (Self-Freeze): Candidates may choose to freeze the allotted seat by paying the seat acceptance fee. They will not be eligible for further rounds if frozen.
- Betterment Option: Candidates allotted seats beyond their first six preferences can opt for the Not Freeze/Betterment option to seek better seats in subsequent rounds. The seat must still be accepted with the online fee payment.
Reporting to Allotted Institute
Candidates must report to their allotted institute within the specified dates and times. Required documents include seat allotment letter, academic certificates, identity proof, and other mandatory documents. Failure to report on time may lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat.
