KVS Admissions 2026: Third Provisional Merit List Released

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has officially released the third provisional admission list for Balvatika and Class 1 for the academic year 2026. This announcement is crucial for parents and guardians who have applied for their children's admission, as it provides them with the opportunity to check the status of their applications.

Parents can easily access the third merit list through the following official websites:

Previously, KVS released the first admission list on April 9 and 10, 2026, followed by the second provisional list on April 16, 2026. Notably, the lottery results for Balvatika were announced on April 8, 2026, while the Class 1 lottery results were made public on April 9, 2026.

Important Dates and Admission Formalities

For parents whose children have been selected in the third provisional list, it is imperative to complete the admission formalities within the stipulated time frame. Failure to do so will result in the automatic cancellation of the allotted seat. The registration process for Balvatika was conducted from March 20 to April 2, 2026. If there are any remaining vacancies, offline registrations will be available from April 22 to April 26, 2026.

Admissions for Balvatika and Classes 2 and above are scheduled to take place from April 15 to April 20, 2026. The final date for completing admissions for all classes, except Class 11, is set for June 30, 2026. Admissions for Class 11 will commence following the announcement of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 results.

Documents Required for Admission

Parents should ensure they have the following documents ready for the admission process:

  • Birth certificate of the child
  • Proof of residence
  • Any applicable reservation category certificates
  • Previous school records (if applicable)

Admissions for Balvatika and Class 1 are conducted through a computerized lottery system. After the registration phase, applications are categorized into groups such as Right to Education (RTE), service priority, and reserved categories. A random digital draw is then performed within each category, leading to the preparation and release of provisional selection lists and waiting lists according to the established schedule.
