KVS Admission Results 2026: Key Dates and Details

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has officially concluded the registration process for the 2026-27 academic year. Students and their guardians are now eagerly anticipating the release of the provisional admission lists. This year, registrations for Balvatika-1, Balvatika-2, Balvatika-3, and Class I were conducted online from March 20, 2026, to April 2, 2026. With the registration phase complete, the focus now shifts to the upcoming results and the subsequent admission processes.

The first provisional list of selected candidates will be announced on the following dates:

• April 8, 2026 - Balvatika-1, Balvatika-2 (if applicable), and Balvatika-3
• April 9, 2026 - Class I
• April 10, 2026 - Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry for both Balvatika and Class I due to general election polling.

These provisional lists will include the names of both selected candidates and those on the waiting list. The admissions will be conducted in phases, starting with candidates under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, followed by Service Priority Categories I and II, and finally filling any remaining seats.

Subsequent Provisional Lists and Offline Admissions

If seats remain unfilled after the initial round of admissions, KVS plans to release additional provisional lists:

• Second Provisional List: Scheduled for April 16, 2026
• Third Provisional List: Scheduled for April 21, 2026

These lists will facilitate further admissions based on the availability of seats following the earlier rounds. In cases where online applications do not meet the required numbers, KVS will issue a second notification for offline registrations under RTE, SC, ST, and OBC (NCL) categories on April 21, 2026. Registrations for these offline admissions will be open from April 22 to April 26, 2026, with the display of lists and admissions scheduled between April 27 and April 30, 2026.

Admission Process for Other Classes

The admission timeline for other classes, specifically Balvatika-2 and Class II onward (excluding Class XI), is also outlined:

• Offline admissions will be conducted from April 2 to April 8, 2026, subject to seat availability.
• The list of selected candidates for these classes will be announced on April 13, 2026, with admissions taking place from April 15 to April 20, 2026.

For Class XI admissions, the process will commence only after the announcement of Class X board examination results by the CBSE. Existing Kendriya Vidyalaya students can register within ten days of the results, while the admission list will be displayed and completed within twenty days following the Class X results. Non-KV students will be admitted after KV students, contingent on seat availability. The final deadline for Class XI admissions is set for thirty days post-Class X results.

Final Admission Deadlines

The KVS has established the following deadlines for completing admissions:

• The last date for admission to all classes, except Class XI, is June 30, 2026.
• If vacancies persist, admissions may continue until July 31, 2026, subject to approval from the Deputy Commissioner and adherence to the recommended strength.

To ensure transparency and accessibility, KVS has mandated that all admission lists be published on school websites, social media platforms, and notice boards.
