The Kerala General Education Minister, V. Sivankutty, announced that 4,17,497 candidates are registered for this year’s board exams, which are being held at 3,031 examination centres. This year’s SSLC exam schedule runs through 30 March 2026, covering all prescribed subjects under the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan. The large candidature reflects the continued importance of the SSLC board exams in Kerala’s school education landscape.

Kerala SSLC Exam Schedule and Coverage

According to official details, theory papers will be administered in multiple sessions across the March 2026 period. The exams are planned to follow standard reporting and security protocols at all centres, ensuring a smooth conduct of board assessments. In addition to the regular centres in Kerala and Lakshadweep, students registered in the Gulf region had been scheduled to take the SSLC examinations. However, due to the ongoing Middle East conflict, those exams in Gulf countries have been postponed, with revised dates to be announced later by education authorities.

Deployment of Staff and Safety Measures For Kerala SSLC

To manage the exams effectively, the state has deployed a significant number of teachers and officials across all centres for invigilation duties and administrative oversight. This includes ensuring the safe distribution of question papers and strict adherence to examination protocols. Minister Sivankutty also noted that answer books and related materials have been disseminated to 41 district educational offices and moved to secure holding facilities to maintain confidentiality and exam integrity.

Kerala SSLC Expected Results and Next Steps

The SSLC results for 2026 are anticipated to be released by the third week of May 2026, following the completion of answer book valuation. Students and parents are advised to stay updated through official websites and education department notifications for result announcements and post‑exam procedures Once results are published, qualified students can proceed with Plus One admissions for the 2026–27 academic session, with seat allotments and counselling expected to begin soon thereafter.
