Kerala SSLC 2026 Exam From 5 March; 4.17 Lakh to Appear as announced by General Education Minister V Sivankutty. A total of 4,17,497 students will sit for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination across 3,031 centres this month. The SSLC examinations for the current academic year will be conducted from 5 March 2026 to 30 March 2026.
Kerala SSLC 2026 Exam Centres and Deployment
Out of the total registered candidates, 633 students will appear at seven centres in the Gulf region and 386 students at nine centres in Lakshadweep. The appointments of chief superintendents and deputy chief superintendents have been finalised. Around 26,000 teacherswill be deployed for invigilation duty across the state. Distribution of answer sheets has been completed under all 41 District Educational Offices. Question papers have reached district offices and have been secured in bank lockers and treasuries.
Kerala Higher Secondary and VHSE Exam 2026 Details
The first-year Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations will begin on 5 March 2026, while second-year examinations will commence on 6 March 2026.
Registration figures show:
- 4,11,025 students for first-year Higher Secondary examination
- 3,41,222 students for first-year improvement examination
- 4,52,437 students for second-year Higher Secondary examination
For Vocational Higher Secondary (VHSE):
- 26,829 first-year students registered
- 26,826 second-year regular students registered
- 389 examination centres and eight valuation camps arranged
In total, 1,984 centres have been set up for Higher Secondary exams, including centres in Kerala, Gulf region, Lakshadweep and Mahe. However, examinations in the Gulf region have been postponed due to regional conflicts.
Kerala SSLC and Plus Two Valuation Process 2026
Applications have been invited for appointing around 950 additional chief examiners and 9,000 examiners across 72 valuation camps. Appointment orders will be issued in the second week of March.
Valuation camps for SSLC and Higher Secondary will begin on 7 April 2026 and conclude by 28 April 2026. For the vocational stream, valuation will start on 6 April 2026. The Higher Secondary results are expected on 22 May 2026, while the SSLC results are likely to be declared by the third week of May 2026.
Plus One Admission 2026 and Scholarship Announcement
Online applications for Plus One admission for the 2026–27 academic year will begin the day after the publication of SSLC results. Authorities stated that sufficient seats will be available, and admissions will be completed through three main allotments followed by supplementary rounds if required.
The state government has also announced scholarships for Higher Secondary students who secure high marks in Malayalam in Class 10 and opt for Malayalam as a second language in Plus Two. Detailed guidelines will be issued through an official circular.
