Kerala Plus One First Allotment Result 2026 Released: Seat Allotment, Admission, Fail to Report

Directorate of General Education (DGE), Kerala, has officially released the Kerala Plus One First Allotment Result 2026 through the Higher Secondary Centralised Admission Process (HSCAP). Students who applied for admission to Class 11 under the state's Single Window System can now check their allotment status on the official portal, hscap.kerala.gov.in. The first allotment marks a significant milestone in the Kerala Plus One Admission 2026 process, determining the initial distribution of seats across higher secondary schools in the state. Candidates who have secured seats in the first allotment round must complete the admission formalities within the prescribed timeline. The Department has instructed students and parents to carefully review allotment details and report to the allotted schools between June 15 and June 17, 2026. Failure to complete the required admission process within the deadline may result in cancellation of the allotted seat and exclusion from subsequent allotment rounds.

Kerala Plus One 2026 First Allotment Result : Key Dates

The admission process under the HSCAP Kerala Allotment 2026 system follows a strict schedule. Students must adhere to the official timeline to secure their seats and maintain eligibility for future allotment rounds.

Massive Demand for Kerala Plus One 2026 Seats Across Kerala

The latest allotment data highlights the growing demand for higher secondary admissions across Kerala. According to official figures, the Directorate processed approximately 4,44,772 applications for the 2026-27 academic session against an available pool of 3,15,874 general seats. After including additional reservations and special category allocations, the overall capacity increased marginally. During the first allotment round, 2,46,638 seats were allocated to eligible candidates, leaving approximately 71,264 seats vacant for the upcoming allotment phases. Despite the substantial number of available seats, several districts continue to face significant admission pressure due to the large volume of applicants. The demand-supply imbalance remains particularly visible in northern Kerala, where the number of applicants considerably exceeds available seats in many higher secondary schools.

Malappuram Faces Highest Admission Pressure

Among all districts, Malappuram continues to record the highest number of applications under the Kerala Plus One Admission 2026 process. Official data shows that the district received 82,753 applications, making it the most competitive region in the state. Although Malappuram was allocated 40,554 seats, the general merit quota has already been exhausted. More than 42,000 students remain without allotment, while only around 17,301 seats remain available for future allotment rounds. This has intensified concerns regarding seat shortages and educational infrastructure in the district. Other northern districts are also witnessing considerable pressure. Kannur currently has more than 8,000 vacant seats, while Kozhikode retains nearly 7,800 vacancies that will be filled during subsequent allotment rounds. These districts are expected to play a crucial role in accommodating students who were unable to secure seats during the first phase.

How to Check Kerala Plus One 2026 First Allotment Result?

Students can access their allotment status through the official HSCAP portal using their application credentials. The allotment memo generated through the system serves as an important document for completing the admission process. To check the Kerala Plus One First Allotment Result 2026, candidates should visit the official website and log in using their application number, password, and captcha code. Once logged in, applicants can access the allotment section, verify their allotted school and stream, and download the allotment memo for future use. The Directorate has advised students to keep printed copies of the allotment letter, as schools may require physical verification during admission.

Understanding Kerala Plus One 2026 Permanent and Temporary Admission Options

One of the most important aspects of the HSCAP Kerala Admission 2026 process is the distinction between permanent and temporary admission. The option selected by a student determines their eligibility for future upgrades. Students who receive their first preference school and course are required to take permanent admission. Once permanent admission is confirmed, they will no longer be considered for higher options because their top preference has already been allotted. Candidates who secure a lower preference school may choose temporary admission. This allows them to retain eligibility for future allotment rounds and possible upgrades if vacancies arise in higher preferred institutions. Temporary admission provides flexibility for students hoping to secure better options in the second or third allotment rounds. Students satisfied with their current allotment can also convert their admission into permanent status by cancelling all remaining higher options through the prescribed procedure.

Documents Required for Kerala Plus One 2026 Admission

School authorities will conduct document verification before confirming admission. Students must ensure that all original documents are available at the time of reporting. The admission process requires the allotment memo downloaded from the HSCAP portal, the original SSLC or equivalent marksheet, transfer certificate, conduct certificate, and any supporting documents related to reservation claims. Candidates seeking benefits under community, caste, income, sports, NCC, NSS, or other special categories must also produce the relevant certificates during verification. Schools may additionally require passport-size photographs and identity proof to complete the admission formalities.

What Happens If Kerala Plus One 2026 Students Fail to Report?

The Directorate of General Education has issued a strict warning regarding non-reporting. Receiving an allotment does not automatically confirm admission. Students must physically report to the allotted institution and complete the required formalities within the specified period.Candidates who fail to secure either temporary or permanent admission by June 17, 2026, risk losing their allotted seat. Such students may be removed from the main allotment process and could become eligible only for supplementary admission rounds, where seat availability is generally much lower. Education officials have therefore urged students and parents not to delay the admission process, even if they are expecting better options in future allotment rounds.

Kerala Plus One 2026 Second Allotment Expected Next

Following the completion of admissions under the first allotment phase, the Directorate will assess vacant seats across schools and publish updated vacancy data. Based on these figures, the authorities will prepare the Kerala Plus One Second Allotment Result 2026, offering opportunities to unallotted students and those seeking upgrades. The second allotment is expected to be particularly significant in districts such as Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Kannur, where demand remains exceptionally high. Students who opted for temporary admission will automatically remain eligible for consideration in subsequent allotment rounds. With more than four lakh applications received under the HSCAP Single Window System, the upcoming allotment phases are expected to play a crucial role in ensuring seat distribution across Kerala's higher secondary education network.
