The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has postponed the NEET PG 2025 Round 3 option entry and choice filling window to 5 February 2026 to align with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) revised timeline. Provisional and final seat allotment results will be announced on 9 and 10 February 2026 respectively, with admission formalities to follow thereafter.

KEA Postpones Karnataka NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Option Entry to 5 Feb 2026

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has revised the schedule for NEET PG 2025 Round 3 counselling, postponing the option entry and choice filling period to start from 5 February 2026 (from 11 am) instead of the earlier planned date. The update comes as part of efforts to synchronise the state counselling calendar with the Medical Counselling Committee’s (MCC) revised All India Quota (AIQ) counselling programme. KEA facilitates state‑level counselling for MD and MS admissions in Karnataka medical colleges based on NEET PG 2025 ranks, and the timeline change ensures better alignment with national allotment processes.

Revised Timeline for NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Counselling

According to the updated schedule issued by KEA, candidates must note the revised key dates for Round 3:

  • Option Entry & Choice Filling: 5 Feb 2026 (from 11 am) to 9 Feb 2026 (up to 8 pm)
  • Provisional Seat Allotment Result: 9 Feb 2026 (after 5 pm)
  • Final Seat Allotment Result: 10 Feb 2026 (after 1 pm)
  • Fee Payment & Admission: 11–13 Feb 2026
  • Last Date to Report to Allotted College: 13 Feb 2026 (by 5.30 pm)

All candidates participating in Round 3 counselling must enter fresh preferences in the KEA portal (cetonline.karnataka.gov.in) during the specified option entry window, as earlier choices will not be carried forward for this round.

Why Was the Schedule Adjusted?

The counselling timeline revision was announced after the MCC updated its All India Quota (AIQ) counselling calendar for NEET PG 2025, prompting KEA to rework state counselling dates so that both national and state‑level processes are harmonised. This alignment helps avoid conflicts and ensures candidates have sufficient time to participate in both streams of counselling.

What Candidates Must Do Next?

Candidates eligible for Round 3 of Karnataka NEET PG counselling should:

  • Log in to the KEA Counselling Portal: Access the official KEA site with valid login credentials for option entry and preference filling.
  • Enter Choices Carefully: Provide updated options for medical colleges and MD/MS specialisations based on NEET PG 2025 rank and personal preference.
  • Check Allotment Results: Monitor the provisional allotment on 9 Feb and final allotment on 10 Feb 2026.
  • Complete Admission Formalities: Pay the requisite fees and download the admission order by 13 Feb 2026, and report to the allotted college by the deadline.

With this updated timeline, candidates have adequate time to make informed counselling decisions and stay aligned with both state and national postgraduate medical admission cycles.
