KCET Counselling 2025: Round 2 Choice Selection Until September 2

KCET 2025 round 2 final seat allotment was declared on August 30, 2025. Candidates allotted seats now have a crucial decision to make: whether to accept, retain, or surrender their allotted seat. Students must exercise their choice by September 2, 2025, on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

For many aspirants, this stage can feel overwhelming. The choices made in this round not only decide the current seat but also determine eligibility for the next rounds. To make the process easier, KEA has outlined four options for candidates, each with clear implications.

KCET Counselling 2025: Four Choices for Round 2 Candidates

KEA has warned that failure to report to the allotted college may lead to strict action, including being barred from admissions for the same course for the next three years.

  • Choice 1: Confirm the allotted seat and exit further rounds. Students choosing this must report to their allotted college and complete admission formalities.
  • Choice 2: Retain the allotted seat while staying eligible for round 3. Candidates must pay the prescribed fee within the deadline.
  • Choice 3: Surrender the round 2 seat without fee payment but pay a ₹10,000 caution deposit to stay eligible for round 3.
  • Choice 4: Exit the counselling process entirely, giving up the allotted seat and skipping further rounds.
