The Karnataka School Examinations and Assessments Board (KSEAB) has officially extended the registration deadline for the Karnataka SSLC Exam 2026. According to the revised notification released on the Board’s website, the registration window will now remain open until November 15, 2025, giving schools additional time to complete the process for their students. Earlier, the registration was set to close on October 31, 2025. The SSLC exams are scheduled to be held from March 18 to April 1, 2026 across Karnataka. Schools have been instructed to ensure that all student details are accurately uploaded within the extended period to avoid discrepancies.
Official Notification and Key Details
The Board released an official circular announcing the revised schedule, which can be accessed at the official website — kseab.karnataka.gov.in.
This extension aims to ensure that schools, especially those in rural and remote areas, have adequate time to complete online data submission and fee payment processes.
Exam Dates and Schedule
As per the earlier announcement, the Karnataka SSLC 2026 board examinations will be conducted between March 18 and April 1, 2026. The detailed subject-wise time table is expected to be released in the coming weeks. The examinations will take place in offline mode at various designated centres across the state. The question papers will follow the revised format introduced by KSEAB, focusing on competency-based evaluation in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines.
Responsibilities of Schools
KSEAB has directed all schools to complete the following tasks before the final deadline:
- Verify and upload accurate student information, including personal details and subject combinations.
- Generate challans for exam fee payment between November 17 and 21, 2025.
- Print challans and ensure fee deposits by November 24, 2025.
- Cross-check candidate details to avoid errors during hall ticket generation.
Schools failing to complete these steps by the deadline may face administrative issues during admit card issuance.
Exam Pattern and Assessment
The Karnataka SSLC 2026 examination pattern will continue to follow the 80:20 marking structure, with 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for internal assessment. The internal evaluation will include attendance, assignments, and class performance. The question papers will be designed to test students’ conceptual clarity and analytical understanding. The Board has also advised schools to conduct multiple rounds of preparatory exams before the final SSLC examination to help students adapt to the revised question pattern.
