Karnataka SSLC 3rd Preparatory Exam 2026 Social Science exam timing has been officially changed by the Karnataka School Examinations and Assessments Board. As per the latest circular, the Social Science paper will now be conducted at 2:00 PM on 28 February 2026, instead of the earlier scheduled 10:00 AM session.The revision has been announced to avoid a clash with the Second PUC examinations scheduled on the same date.
The timing change has been implemented due to a scheduling overlap with PUC examinations
According to the board’s clarification, the SSLC 3rd State Level Preparatory Examination timetable had already been announced earlier, starting from 23 February 2026. However, since a Second PUC examination is also scheduled on 28 February 2026, the board decided to shift the Social Science paper to the afternoon session.This adjustment ensures smooth conduct of both examinations without logistical or administrative conflicts at exam centres.
The Social Science question paper will be uploaded to school login at 12:30 PM
The circular further states that the Social Science question paper will be uploaded to the school login portal at 12:30 PM on the exam day. Schools are required to download and print the question paper through the official login before the examination begins. The board has instructed schools to conduct the examination in a systematic manner, following all prescribed protocols for printing, distribution and supervision.
No changes have been made to the remaining SSLC 3rd preparatory exam schedule
Apart from the Social Science paper, the board has confirmed that there will be no change in the schedule of other subjects included in the Karnataka SSLC 3rd Preparatory Exam 2026 timetable. All previously announced exam dates and timings for language papers, Mathematics and Science will remain unchanged.
School heads and district officials have been directed to inform students promptly
The Karnataka board has directed all high school principals to display the revised exam timing clearly on school notice boards. Additionally, District Deputy Directors (Administration) have been instructed to ensure that the updated information reaches all students in a timely manner. This step has been taken to prevent confusion and ensure that students report to exam centres at the correct time.
