Karnataka PGCET 2026: Syllabus, Exam Dates & Eligibility Details

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is expected to release the Karnataka PGCET 2026 exam dates around January 2026. The state-level entrance test is conducted annually for admission into MBA, MCA, and MTech courses across more than 170 institutes in Karnataka. Candidates will have to apply online at the official portal cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea once the notification is released. The exam will follow an offline OMR-based format with a total duration of 120 minutes, and the question paper will be in English

Karnataka PGCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility for MBA admission through Karnataka PGCET 2026 is as follows:

 

Full-Time MBA

  • Academic Qualification: Minimum three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised institute.
  • Minimum Score: Aggregate of 50 per cent for UR category and 45 per cent for reserved category candidates.

Part-Time MBA

  • Academic Qualification: Minimum three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised institute.
  • Minimum Score: Aggregate of 50 per cent for UR category and 45 per cent for reserved category candidates.
  • Work Experience: At least three years of relevant experience by July 31 of the admission session. The employer must be located within a 40-kilometre radius of the preferred MBA college.

 

Karnataka PGCET 2026 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

The PGCET syllabus will be released along with the official notification. The exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions that candidates must answer in 120 minutes. Questions will assess quantitative ability, logical reasoning, general knowledge, and English language skills. Candidates are advised to stay updated through the official KEA website for notifications, syllabus PDF, information bulletin, and counselling details.
