The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has announced that the Karnataka 2nd PUC Practical Exams 2026 will be web-streamed and monitored through CCTV cameras at all examination centres to curb malpractice and ensure transparency in evaluation. The practical examinations are scheduled to be conducted between 27 January 2026 and 14 February 2026 across the state.
Karnataka II PUC Practical Exams 2026 – Web-Streaming & CCTV Monitoring
KSEAB’s latest notification outlines several anti-malpractice measures for the II PUC practical exams, including the installation of CCTV cameras in all practical examination venues and real-time web-streaming of exam proceedings. This initiative is intended to allow officials to monitor exams centrally and prevent cheating or irregularities during practical assessments.
Under the new arrangement, CCTV cameras will capture all activities inside the practical exam halls, which can be accessed by supervisory teams for oversight and intervention if any irregularities are detected. This measure also requires marks to be directly entered online into the official system from each centre to further secure the assessment process.
Why Web-Streaming and CCTV Surveillance Are Being Introduced?
The decision follows concerns over past instances where discrepancies were observed in practical exam scores relative to theory performance, raising questions about exam fairness and unethical practices. By applying web-streaming and CCTV monitoring, KSEAB aims to:
- Increase transparency in exam conduct.
- Discourage cheating and undue influence in practical assessments.
- Enable real-time supervision by board and district committees.
A District Practical Examination Committee — consisting of district-level education officials, principals and senior lecturers — will also oversee implementation and address any reported irregularities during the exam period. These measures reflect KSEAB’s enhanced emphasis on fair evaluation practices and are expected to build confidence among students, educators and parents about the integrity of the II PUC practical examinations.
