Originally, the last date for paying the caution deposit and entering options was August 16, 2025. With the extension, students get two extra days to finalise their preferences.
KEA clarified that the option entry facility will only be available to those candidates who pay the caution money within the deadline. Without this step, aspirants will not be allowed to exercise their option entry for the final round.

The KEA has also released the schedule for the upcoming final seat allotment process:

- Final Seat Allotment Result: August 20, 2025
- Challan Download Window: August 21 to August 24, 2025
- Fee Payment Deadline: August 25, 2025 (during banking hours)
- College Reporting with Documents: Last date is August 26, 2025
Karnataka DCET 2025 Counselling: Fee Payment and Caution Deposit Adjustment
The fee payment window will stay open until August 25, 2025, during normal banking hours. Candidates can download their confirmation slips between August 21 and August 25, 2025, only after successful fee payment.
The KEA has also clarified that any caution deposit already paid by candidates in earlier rounds will be adjusted against the fee for the seat allotted in this round.
Karnataka DCET 2025 Counselling: Last Date for College Reporting
All candidates allotted a seat in the final round of Karnataka DCET counselling 2025 must report to the respective colleges with their original documents by August 26, 2025.
Failure to report within the deadline will result in:
- Forfeiture of the caution deposit
- Penalty as per KEA rules
- Loss of the allotted seat
KEA has made it clear that joining the allotted college is mandatory, and there will be no seat cancellation allowed under any circumstances.
