According to statements recorded during the investigation, answer scripts of allegedly favoured candidates were removed from secured strong rooms and taken to hotels and rented accommodations. What Has the CID Investigation Found?
The CID investigation has reportedly examined statements from arrested employees, directors of examination-conducting agencies and alleged middlemen. Investigators are also examining technical evidence, server logs and financial transactions linked to the suspected network.
The probe reportedly found allegations of software-based manipulation in examination results. According to statements cited in reports, a customised software system was allegedly used to identify certain candidates and alter their answers in examination databases.
The investigation has also focused on alleged physical manipulation of answer scripts. According to the statements, selected candidates' scripts were allegedly taken from strong rooms and transported to hotels or rented premises, where experts were allegedly involved in completing the answers.
Alleged Payment for Answer Script Manipulation
One accused, Abhay Tiwari, reportedly told investigators that he paid ₹40 lakh for answer scripts to be written and for candidates' marks to be increased. The statements also reportedly mention experts being brought from different states to assist candidates.
The CID is continuing to investigate the alleged recruitment examination racket. Further action will depend on the evidence collected and verification of the statements made during the probe.
