The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the registration deadline for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2026. The new last date to apply is October 21, 2025. Students seeking admission to Class 9 and Class 11 under the 2026–27 academic session can apply online through cbseitms.nic.in.
This extension allows students who missed the earlier deadline another opportunity to register for admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) across India.
JNVST 2026 Exam Date and Timings
As per the latest update, the JNVST 2026 exam for Class 9 and 11 will be conducted on February 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The test will be held at designated examination centres nationwide.
The exam aims to shortlist meritorious students for admission to Navodaya Vidyalayas, which are known for offering free, high-quality residential education.

- Fill in the required personal and academic details accurately
- Upload the necessary documents in JPG format (10 KB to 100 KB)
- Pay the application fee and submit the form
- Download and print the confirmation page for future reference
Documents Required for JNVST 2026 Registration
Students must keep the following documents ready in digital format before applying for JNV Admission 2026:
- Recent passport-sized photograph
- Student’s signature
- Parent’s signature
- Valid Photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card recommended)
- Academic mark sheets
All uploaded certificates will be verified by the Headmaster of the student’s current school.
Admission Process and Selection Criteria
Admission to Class 9 and 11 will be granted strictly based on merit in the JNV Selection Test (JNVST) 2026. Students who qualify the entrance test will be considered for seat allocation in their respective Navodaya Vidyalayas.
