JKBOSE 2025 Syllabus Relaxation for Classes 10, 11, and 12
The JKBOSE has also announced a 15% relaxation in the syllabus for students appearing in Classes 10, 11, and 12annual exams for 2025. The relaxation has been granted due to the delayed start of the academic session and disruptions caused by heat waves, torrential rains, and floods across the region.
According to the official notification dated October 4, 2025, eligible students from the Kashmir Division and winter zone areas of Jammu Division, including the Union Territory of Ladakh, can attempt 85% of the marks, which will correspond to 100% marks.
JKBOSE Official Statement
The Board mentioned that question papers will be set from the entire prescribed syllabus, but students need to attempt only 85% of the marks. The remaining 15% will be treated as relaxation. The notification also clarified that each Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) will be marked individually, and this pattern will apply to the grammar section in language papers as well.
The decision was made after recommendations from the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir and Jammu, along with requests from various stakeholders. The move aims to reduce academic stress caused by the unfavourable weather conditions and the late start of the school year.
