JKBOSE Class 10 and Class 11 bi-annual private exams 2025 are postponed from August 27, 2025. The decision was taken following continuous heavy rainfall and flood-like conditions across the Union Territory. The revised exam dates will be notified soon on the official website of JKBOSE.
JKBOSE Exam Postponement Notification
As per the official announcement, the board has postponed the Class 10 Secondary School Examination and Class 11 Higher Secondary Examination Part I for the Annual (Private)/Bi-Annual 2025 session. The decision came after the Meteorological Department issued severe weather alerts for the region.
The notification reads: βIt is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that the examinations scheduled for tomorrow, 27-08-2025 (Wednesday), of the Secondary School Examination (Class 10) and Higher Secondary Examination Part 1 (Class 11), Session Annual (Private)/Bi-Annual 2025 for the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, stand postponed in view of continued inclement weather and flood situations in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir.β
The board has assured students that the fresh schedule for the postponed papers will be released soon.
Schools and Offices Closed in J&K
The Jammu and Kashmir administration has ordered the closure of all educational institutions and government offices, except for essential services, due to safety concerns. This marks the third consecutive day of school closures in the Jammu division.
- Schools, colleges, and coaching centres to remain shut.
- Non-essential government offices closed.
- Essential services, such as medical care, electricity, and law enforcement, must remain functional.
J&K Heavy Rainfall Warning Issued
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted very heavy rainfall in the Jammu region for the next 40 hours. Continuous downpours have raised the water levels of rivers such as the Basantar, Tawi, and Chenab, which are already flowing at warning levels.
Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas. Disaster management teams have been placed on high alert.
