Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) has officially commenced early admissions for the academic year 2026-27. The school has confirmed that the National Admission Test for Law (LNAT-UK) is the mandatory entrance test for all admissions into its 5-year and 3-year LLB programs. JGLS stands out as the only Indian law school that is a member of the LNAT Consortium, based at the University of Oxford, UK, which includes prestigious institutions like Oxford, Cambridge, London School of Economics, University College London, King’s College, Durham, and Glasgow.
Admissions Phases for 2026
According to Prof Anand Prakash Mishra, Vice-Dean of Law and Director of Law Admissions at JGLS:
- 100% of admissions to the flagship 5-year law programs (BCom LLB Hons, BBA LLB Hons, BA LLB Hons) and 3-year LLB degree will be based solely on LNAT scores.
- 75% of total seats will be offered in the early admission process.

About the LNAT-UK Test
The LNAT-UK is a standardised, globally benchmarked admissions test that evaluates critical thinking, advanced English, and reading comprehension skills. It focuses on assessing aptitude for legal studies, rather than subject-specific knowledge or memorisation.
Test Format:
- Section A: Computer-based multiple-choice questions (12 passages, total marks out of 42)
- Section B: Essay from a list of three topics (not required for JGLS admission)
Global Reach: The LNAT-UK is offered at 500+ centres in 165+ countries, including major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, and Kolkata.
Exam Validity, Attempts, and Identification
- Single Attempt: LNAT-UK can only be attempted once per academic year.
- Score Validity: Valid for admission only to Academic Year 2026-27.
- ID Requirement: Valid passport or recent PVC Aadhaar with ghost image and hologram is mandatory.
Scholarships
LNAT-UK scores are used for merit-cum-means scholarships at Jindal Global University, ranging from 10%, 25%, 50%, to 75% tuition fee waiver, based on merit and parental income.
