JEXPO 2025 Merit List Release Delayed Amid Reservation Dispute

JEXPO 2025 merit list is expected to be released soon by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE). The delay in publishing results for JEXPO, VOCLET, and WBJEE has started because of an ongoing legal dispute regarding the 7% OBC reservation policy. The Calcutta High Court has asked WBJEEB to halt admissions and issue a fresh merit list that follows the updated reservation rules. This ruling has triggered delays in other state-level admissions like JEXPO and VOCLET.

Once the court’s order is implemented, the merit list will be uploaded on scvtwb.in, and counselling will restart. Until then, thousands of students remain in wait, worried about the ticking clock as AICTE’s September 15, 2025, admission deadline comes closer.

Why is the JEXPO 2025 Merit List Date Delayed

The Calcutta High Court has directed WBJEEB to halt results and admissions until a revised merit list is issued in line with the new reservation rules. This order has also impacted the timelines for the JEXPO 2025 and VOCLET merit lists. A 15-day deadline has been given to publish the revised WBJEE list, and the JEXPO 2025 merit list is likely to be released within the same window.

How WBSCTE Will Prepare the JEXPO 2025 Merit List

The JEXPO merit list will be prepared using candidates’ Class 10 marks. Students who have applied for West Bengal polytechnic admissions will be considered for allotment once the list is published. For many of the students, these results are more than just numbers; they’re the key to securing a place in their dream course. Families are anxiously waiting, hoping the delay won’t affect the academic plans. Every passing day feels difficult as students are deciding whether to wait for JEXPO or look for other opportunities

Impact on West Bengal Polytechnic Admission 2025

With the West Bengal Common Admission Process on hold, uncertainty looms for students. While AICTE has set September 15, 2025, as the final date for polytechnic admissions, the legal case may lead to further delays. Many aspirants remain unsure whether to wait for the JEXPO 2025 merit list or pursue alternative admissions, risking possible seat losses in other institutes.
