The Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), Uttar Pradesh has commenced JEECUP Counselling 2026 Round 1 with the opening of the online choice filling process. Qualified candidates can now submit their preferred colleges and diploma programmes through the official counselling portal before the prescribed deadline.
The Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has started the Round 1 counselling process for JEECUP 2026, allowing qualified candidates to fill and lock their preferred college and course choices online. The counselling marks the beginning of the admission process for diploma and polytechnic programmes offered by government, aided and private institutions across Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who qualified the UPJEE (Polytechnic) 2026 examination are eligible to participate in the counselling process. They must complete online registration, choice filling and other admission formalities within the notified schedule to be considered for seat allotment.
JEECUP Counselling 2026 Round 1 Schedule
The counselling process has commenced with Round 1 choice filling. According to the official schedule, candidates should complete the required steps within the specified timeline to avoid missing the first round of admissions. Important Dates

Who Can Participate in JEECUP Counselling 2026?
Candidates who have qualified the JEECUP 2026 entrance examination are eligible to participate in the counselling process. Only candidates with a valid rank can register, fill their preferences and compete for admission to participating polytechnic institutes in Uttar Pradesh.
How to Complete JEECUP 2026 Choice Filling?
Eligible candidates should visit the official counselling portal and log in using their examination credentials. After registration, applicants can select and arrange their preferred colleges and diploma programmes in order of priority before locking their choices. JEECUP 2026 Seat Allotment Process
Seat allotment will be carried out on the basis of the candidate's JEECUP rank, reservation category, availability of seats and the choices submitted during counselling. Following allotment, candidates must choose either the Freeze or Float option, pay the prescribed seat acceptance fee and complete document verification to confirm their admission. Failure to complete these formalities within the stipulated period may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
