Kalpit Veerwal, the only student to score a perfect 360 in JEE Main 2017, made history with AIR 1. Years later, he chose a different path, moving away from corporate roles to pursue music and entrepreneurship
Kalpit Veerwal became a national sensation after scoring a perfect 360/360 in JEE Main 2017. The student from Udaipur secured All India Rank 1, a feat never achieved before. Years later, his journey has taken an unexpected turn. Instead of following the typical IIT-to-corporate path, he moved towards creative and entrepreneurial fields.
Kalpit Veerwal JEE Result: The Historic 360/360 Score
Kalpit Veerwal made history in 2017 by becoming the first candidate to score full marks in JEE Main.
- Exam: JEE Main 2017
- Score: 360/360 (100%)
- Rank: AIR 1
- Achievement: First-ever perfect scorer
His result created nationwide attention and set a benchmark for aspirants.
From Udaipur to National Spotlight
Hailing from Udaipur, Kalpit’s result quickly became one of the most talked-about academic achievements in the country. He entered the exam as a regular student but emerged as a record-holder. The achievement even earned recognition in record books and brought him widespread visibility.
Career After IIT: Not the Usual Path
Unlike most IIT toppers, Kalpit Veerwal did not follow a traditional corporate career.
- Worked as an educator and mentor
- Built startups and explored entrepreneurship
- Engaged in public speaking and investments
- Travelled and created content
Over time, his career reflected experimentation rather than a fixed path.
Why He Chose Music Over Corporate Life?
Kalpit Veerwal later shifted focus towards music, stepping into the role of a singer-songwriter. Reports suggest that the conventional corporate route did not appeal to him. Instead, he explored creative interests and personal passions. This transition surprised many but also sparked discussions about changing career choices among toppers.
A Different Take on Success for JEE Aspirants
Kalpit Veerwal’s journey highlights a broader shift in how success is viewed. Scoring top ranks and entering IIT remains a major milestone. However, his story shows that career paths are no longer linear. Many toppers are now exploring diverse fields beyond engineering. His journey stands as an example that academic success can open multiple paths, not just one fixed destination.
