Key Updates in JEE Mains 2026 Registration

One of the major updates in the JEE Mains 2026 application process is the auto-fetch feature. Candidate details such as name, date of birth, gender, photograph, and address will be automatically retrieved from UIDAI using Aadhaar authentication. Candidates need to manually enter details not present in Aadhaar, such as their father’s or mother’s name. NTA has also provided an edit option to correct discrepancies in names between Aadhaar and Class 10th marksheet. Additionally, NTA has clarified that exam city allocation will consider candidate convenience, and efforts are underway to increase the number of exam centres to ensure accessibility for all students, including PwD candidates.
