NTA will close JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registration on 25 February 2026 at 9 PM. The fee payment window remains open till 11:50 PM, while the correction facility will be available from 27 to 28 February 2026.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Closes Today at 9 PM; Correction Window on 27–28 February

The National Testing Agency will close the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registration process on 25 February 2026. Candidates can complete the online application form until 9 PM, while the fee payment window will remain active until 11:50 PM. The April session examination is scheduled to be conducted between 2 April and 9 April 2026 in two shifts per day. Candidates planning to appear must complete the application process within the prescribed deadline.

 

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Important Dates

NTA has announced the key deadlines related to Session 2 registration, correction, and examination schedule. Candidates are advised to note the timelines carefully.

  • Registration closes: 25 February 2026 (by 9 PM)
  • Last date for fee payment: 25 February 2026 (by 11:50 PM)
  • Correction window opens: 27 February 2026
  • Correction window closes: 28 February 2026 (by 11:50 PM)
  • City intimation slip: Second week of March 2026
  • Admit card release: Three to four days before the exam
  • Exam dates: 2 April to 9 April 2026
    • First Shift: 9 AM to 12 Noon
    • Second Shift: 3 PM to 6 PM

JEE Main 2026 Application Process for New Candidates

First-time applicants who did not appear in the January session must complete fresh registration. The online application form is available at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Steps to apply for JEE Main 2026 Session 2:

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on “JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration”
  • Select “New Candidate Registration”
  • Complete registration using the required details
  • Fill the application form
  • Upload live photograph, a scanned photo and signature
  • Pay the application fee online
  • Download confirmation page

Live photo capture through webcam or QR-based mobile verification is mandatory during the process.

 

JEE Main 2026 Login Process for Session 1 Candidates

Candidates who already registered for Session 1 are not required to register again. They can log in using their existing application number and password. After login, candidates need to:

  • Select paper and exam city
  • Complete fee payment
  • Download confirmation page

Fresh registration by previously registered candidates is not permitted.

 

JEE Main 2026 Correction Window Details

NTA will open the JEE Main 2026 form correction facility from 27 February to 28 February 2026. The edit option will be available online through the candidate login portal. The correction window is a one-time opportunity. Candidates must review all details carefully, as no further correction chance will be provided after the deadline. The city intimation slip is expected in the second week of March 2026, followed by the admit card release ahead of the April examination schedule.

The National Testing Agency has introduced mandatory live photo capture for Joint Entrance Examination Main Session 2 registration. Candidates must capture a real-time image using a webcam with at least 80% face visibility against a plain white background. Accessories such as caps, sunglasses, or masks are not permitted during the capture process. For applicants without webcam access, the NTA portal offers a QR code option to securely upload a live photo using a mobile device.
