The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam dates. The exam will now be conducted from 2 to 9 April 2026, instead of the earlier schedule of 1 to 10 April 2026. The Session 1 exam dates remains unchanged and will be held from 21 to 30 January 2026.
JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Registration
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 application form is now available online. Candidates can apply through the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to submit the application is 27 November 2025.
Key Changes in JEE Main 2026 Application Process
NTA has introduced new requirements for uploading documents while filling the application form:
- Live photograph must be captured using a webcam of a laptop or computer.
- Scanned photograph of the candidate must also be uploaded.
- Signature file size: 10 KB to 100 KB
- Class 10 marksheet: 50 KB to 300 KB
- Identity proof: 10 KB to 200 KB (for candidates not using Aadhaar or DigiLocker)
- Disability/UDID certificate: PDF between 50 KB to 300 KB
Candidates are advised to ensure that all documents meet the new specifications to avoid application rejection.
