JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Date, April 2 to 9 Schedule

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has scheduled the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam from 02 April 2026 to 09 April 2026. The exam will be conducted in computer-based mode across multiple shifts and centres nationwide. This second session provides candidates another opportunity to improve their scores for admission into engineering, architecture, and planning programmes at top institutions across India.

 

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Schedule and Mode

The exam will be held over several days in multiple shifts to accommodate a large number of candidates. Before appearing, candidates should note:

  • Exam Dates: 02 April 2026 to 09 April 2026
  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Papers: B.E./B.Tech (Paper 1), B.Arch (Paper 2A), B.Planning (Paper 2B)
  • Duration: 3 hours per paper

The exam will consist of questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with objective-type questions and negative marking.

 

JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip and Admit Card

The NTA will release key documents before the examination. Candidates should track the following updates:

  • Admit Card Release: Likely last week of March 2026

The city slip will inform candidates about their exam city, while the admit card will include complete exam centre details and timings.

 

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Application and Eligibility

The application process for Session 2 was conducted earlier this year. Key details include:

  • Application window: 01 February 2026 to 25 February 2026
  • Eligibility: Candidates who have passed or are appearing in Class 12 (2024–2026)
  • Attempts: Two sessions per year allowed

Candidates who appeared in Session 1 can also appear in Session 2 to improve their scores.
