The National Testing Agency (NTA) will activate the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 correction window after the registration period ends, likely in the last week of February 2026. During this limited period, candidates will be able to edit selected fields in their online application form on jeemain.nta.nic.in ahead of the April 2026 examination
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the application correction window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 once the online registration process concludes. This facility will allow candidates to correct certain details in their previously submitted application forms before the correction period closes.
When Will the Session 2 Correction Window Open?
Based on trends from previous releases and expert expectations, the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 correction window is likely to be activated in the last week of February 2026 after the registration window closes. During this time, candidates will be able to access the correction portal through the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in using their application number and password. The correction window will remain open for a limited duration, and candidates must complete all changes before it closes, as no further edits will be allowed once the period ends.
What Can Be Edited in the Correction Window?
During the correction period, NTA typically allows candidates to modify certain editable fields in their application forms. These may include:
- Personal information (where permitted)
- Contact details
- Exam city preference
- Paper selection (e.g., Paper 1, Paper 2A, Paper 2B)
- Other details permitted by NTA
However, not all fields are editable, and changes are accepted only through the official online portal. Candidates cannot request corrections offline or by email.
How to Use the JEE Main Session 2 Correction Window?
When the correction link becomes active, candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit the official JEE Main portal: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the “JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Correction Window” link.
- Log in using the application number and password.
- Edit the allowed fields as per NTA guidelines.
- Review and submit corrections before the window closes.
It is important for candidates to ensure all edited details are accurate and final because no further changes will be allowed after the correction period ends.
Why the Correction Window Matters?
The correction window is a critical opportunity for aspirants to rectify any inadvertent mistakes in their application, such as incorrect exam cities or paper selections, which could otherwise lead to issues during admit card generation or on exam day. Fill details carefully to avoid complications in later stages of the JEE Main 2026 process.Candidates should keep tracking jeemain.nta.nic.in for the official activation link and updates about correction window dates as well as other important announcements related to Session 2 of JEE Main 2026.
