The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to declare the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results by 12 February 2026, with scorecards and final cut-off information becoming available online. The result announcement follows the release of the final answer key, which is a precursor to the scorecard publication.
When Will the JEE Main 2026 Result Be Released?
According to the latest updates, the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result is expected to be released on 12 February 2026 through the official JEE websites. Aspirants who appeared for the exam will be able to check and download their scorecards once the result link goes live. The final answer key is a key document that confirms correct responses, and it will be released before the result is published. This key serves as the foundation for calculating percentile scores and is final once announced.
How to Check Your JEE Main 2026 Scorecard?
After the result is declared, candidates can follow these steps to download their JEE Main 2026 Session 1 scorecard:
- Visit the official site jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result link when it is activated.
- Enter your application number and date of birth or password.
- Submit and download the scorecard for future reference.
The scorecard will display key details such as the candidate’s percentile scores in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and overall NTA score. Percentile scores reflect relative performance across all candidates, which is crucial for determining eligibility and ranking.
JEE Main 2026: Expected Cut-Off and Admission Implications
While the official cut-off details for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be shared with the results, past trends suggest that the qualifying percentile cut-off may hover around the 90s for General category candidates, with varied benchmarks for other categories. Candidates who meet the cut-off criteria will be eligible to participate in JoSAA counselling for admission to engineering and related undergraduate programmes such as BTech, BE, and BArch across NITs, IIITs, IITs (based on combined ranking with Session 2), and other participating institutes.
What’s Next After the JEE Main 2026 Result?
After downloading the Session 1 scorecard, candidates should save a copy and use their percentile and score details to plan ahead for counselling and admissions. The Session 2 result for JEE Main 2026 is expected later, providing another opportunity for improvement and overall ranking. Students are advised to regularly check the official NTA portals (jeemain.nta.nic.in) for result announcements and instructions for the next stages of the admission process.
