According to the latest report by Careers360, the registration window is likely to open by 6 PM today, with the link to be activated on the same portal. Last year, the JEE Main registration began on October 28, indicating a similar schedule this year as well.

NTA released the first public notice for JEE Main 2026 on September 29, 2025, confirming that registration would begin in October. The agency also announced the exam schedule and a few key changes in the registration process this year.
Major Change in Registration Process
One of the most significant updates this year is the introduction of the auto-fetch feature using Aadhaar authentication. This new system will automatically pull candidate details — such as name, date of birth, gender, photograph, and address — directly from UIDAI’s database. NTA officials stated that this move aims to simplify the registration process, reduce errors, and ensure faster verification for all applicants. The agency also confirmed that the number of exam cities will be increased to provide better accessibility for aspirants from rural and remote regions. - Register as a New Candidate: Enter the required details and create login credentials.
- Fill the Application Form: Log in again and enter educational, personal, and communication details.

JEE Main 2026 Exam Schedule and Other Details
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be conducted from January 21 to 30, while Session 2 is scheduled between April 1 and 10, 2026.
