JEE Main 2026 Registration Begins, New Changes, Dates, and Steps

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the JEE Main 2026 registration window on October 31, 2025. Along with the application form, the agency has also released the JEE Main 2026 syllabus, information bulletin, and exam dates on the official website —jeemain.nta.nic.in. This year, the registration process comes with several new updates aimed at making the application smoother and more secure for engineering aspirants.

JEE Main 2026 Registration and Exam Dates

Candidates can now fill the JEE Main 2026 session 1 application form through the NTA portal. The last date for submission and fee payment is November 27, 2025 (till 11:59 PM). NTA will release the exam city intimation slip in the first week of January 2026, followed by the admit card. The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination will be conducted between January 21 and January 30, 2026.

New Changes Introduced in JEE Main 2026 Application Form

For the 2026 session, NTA has implemented several technological improvements in the application process:

• Aadhaar Integration: Candidates can now fetch their personal details directly from the Aadhaar database to reduce errors during registration.
• Live Photo Capture: Applicants must upload a live photograph through the dashboard as per on-screen instructions.
• Mismatch Resolution: A new facility has been added to rectify differences between Aadhaar and educational documents before submission.

These steps are expected to streamline verification and minimize form rejection due to data inconsistencies.

The JEE Main 2026 registration process is completely online. Candidates must follow the steps carefully to avoid mistakes.

1. Visit the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in.
2. Click on “JEE Main 2026 Registration.”
3. Read the detailed instructions before proceeding.
4. Enter personal and contact details to complete registration.
5. Verify through OTP to generate the application number.
6. Fill academic and qualification details.
7. Capture and upload the live photograph.
8. Upload required documents in the prescribed format.
9. Pay the application fee online via Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
10. Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
