JEE Main 2026 Registration Begins in October, NTA Application Dates

JEE Main 2026 Registration: National Testing Agency (NTA) will start the JEE Main 2026 registration process in October 2025. Eligible candidates are required to apply online on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, once the application form is released.

 

JEE Main 2026 Registration Schedule and Application Process

The JEE Main 2026 registration link will be activated at jeemain.nta.nic.in around mid-October 2025. Interested candidates can register by completing a three-step process: Registration, Filling out the Form, and Fee Payment. Students can apply either for session one or for both sessions simultaneously. Early registration is advisable to secure the preferred exam centre.

 

Candidates should ensure all their documents, including Aadhar Card, Caste Certificate, and UDID card (for PwD candidates), are up-to-date before applying. Submission of multiple application forms for the same session will result in rejection.

Important Information on Eligibility and Exam Pattern

Candidates must have completed or be appearing in Class 12 to be eligible. There is no age limit, and candidates may appear for JEE Mains for three consecutive years from the year of passing Class 12. JEE Main exam will be conducted online in two sessions, with a total of 75 questions covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

 

The marking scheme awards four marks for each correct answer and deducts one mark for an incorrect answer. Numerical questions are compulsory, with no optional choices.

 

Fee Structure and Payment Methods

The application fee varies based on category, gender, and exam centre location. For male candidates of Unreserved/EWS/OBC category applying in India, the fee is INR 1,000, while female candidates pay INR 800. Fees for centres outside India and other categories differ accordingly. Payment can be made through net banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI.

 

Syllabus and Additional Details

The syllabus primarily covers chapters from CBSE Classes 11 and 12, but may be updated officially on the JEE Main website soon. Candidates should regularly check jeemain.nta.nic.in for the latest updates, including the detailed syllabus, exam city lists, and admit card release.

 

The JEE Main 2026 registration is expected to open shortly, and candidates are advised to apply as soon as possible to avoid last-minute complications.
