The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to issue the provisional answer key and response sheet for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 on 4 February 2026 on the official portal jeemain.nta.nic.in. This update comes after the conduct of the JEE Main exam, which saw participation from around 13 lakh engineering aspirants nationwide.
How to Download JEE Main 2026 Answer Key and Response Sheets?
Once released on 4 February, candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Click the Answer Key / Response Sheet download link.
- Enter your application number and password/date of birth.
- Download the provisional answer key and your response sheet PDF
The response sheet displays the answers marked by the candidate during the exam, enabling them to match them with the official answer key to estimate their probable score ahead of the final result
JEE Main 2026 Answer Key Challenge Window: 4–5 February
The NTA will open the answer key challenge window immediately after the provisional key is released. Candidates can raise objections to any question or answer via the official website from 4 February to 5 February 2026. A prescribed challenge fee per question will usually apply, and candidates must provide valid justification or evidence for objections.
JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Result Date
After reviewing submitted challenges and finalising corrections, the final JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results are expected to be declared by 12 February 2026. These results will include candidates’ NTA scores and qualifying status for admission to engineering programmes such as BTech / BE.
