NTA will conduct JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 for BArch and BPlan on 29 January 2026 in a single shift. The exam will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and candidates must follow all entry and document rules.

JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Exam on 29 January, Timings 9 AM to 12:30 PM

National Testing Agency will conduct JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 for BArch (Paper 2A) and BPlan (Paper 2B) on 29 January 2026. Candidates who have registered for Paper 2 must follow the official exam day guidelines to avoid last-minute inconvenience or disqualification.

 

The examination will be held in a single shift from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Entry will be allowed only as per the reporting time mentioned on the JEE Main 2026 admit card.

 

JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Timings for BArch and BPlan

NTA has scheduled Paper 2A and Paper 2B in one shift for Session 1. Candidates should reach the centre early for biometric verification and frisking before entry. The Paper 2 exam schedule is given below:

  • JEE Main Paper 2 starts at: 09:00 AM
  • JEE Main Paper 2 ends at: 12:30 PM

Late entry will not be permitted once the examination centre gates are closed.

 

Mandatory Documents to Carry for JEE Main Paper 2 Exam 2026

Candidates appearing for the architecture and planning papers must carry the required documents for verification. A brief list of mandatory items is provided below:

  • JEE Main 2026 Admit Card
  • One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the application form)
  • Valid original photo ID proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving Licence

Candidates without proper documents may not be allowed to appear for the exam.

 

JEE Main BArch Drawing Materials Allowed for Paper 2A

The drawing section for BArch candidates will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates are permitted to bring basic drawing and stationery materials. The following items are allowed:

  • Pencils
  • Erasers
  • Geometry box
  • Coloured pencils or crayons, if permitted by the centre

Rough sheets will be provided at the examination centre.

 

Items Strictly Prohibited at JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Exam Centre

Candidates must ensure that no restricted items are carried inside the centre. Possession of prohibited materials may be treated as unfair means. The following items are not allowed:

  • Mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices
  • Calculators, digital pens, pagers
  • Written notes, books, or loose papers
  • Wallets, handbags, caps, or metallic accessories

Candidates are advised to travel light and follow security instructions.

 

JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Exam Day Instructions

The Paper 2 examination will begin exactly at the scheduled time. Candidates must follow instructions displayed on the computer screen and announced by invigilators. Important instructions include:

  • Talking or attempting communication with other candidates is strictly prohibited
  • No candidate will be allowed to leave before the test ends
  • Mathematics and Aptitude sections will be conducted in CBT mode for both papers
  • Candidates should read each question carefully before answering
  • Visiting the exam centre location a day in advance is recommended

Candidates must also read all instructions printed on the admit card carefully for smooth entry and exam conduct.
