The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 provisional answer key along with candidate response sheets for the BArch and BPlanning (Paper 2) examinations on its official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The release enables aspirants to cross-check their recorded responses against the official options and estimate probable scores.

JEE Main Answer Key Release and Response Sheet Availability

Candidates who appeared in the JEE Main 2026 session-1 Paper 2 exams earlier this year can now access the answer key and their individual response sheets by logging into the examination portal using their application number, password/date of birth. The official PDFs show the correct responses as published by the NTA, providing detailed insights into tentative scores before final results are declared. The provisional answer key and response sheet are essential references for candidates to evaluate their performance and identify any discrepancies they believe exist. It reflects answers for question sections in Paper 2A (BArch), including Mathematics and Aptitude, and Paper 2B (BPlanning) covering Mathematics, Aptitude, and Planning sections.

How to Download the JEE Main Paper 2 Answer Key 2026?

Candidates can follow these general steps to download the provisional answer key and their response sheets from the official JEE Main portal:

  1. Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in — the official NTA JEE Main website.
  2. Navigate to the answer key section for JEE Main 2026 Paper 2.
  3. Log in using the application number and password/date of birth.
  4. Access and download the answer key PDF along with the response sheet.

JEE Main 2026: Objection Window Open Till 20 February 2026

Candidates who find discrepancies or believe that the answers provided in the provisional key are incorrect can raise objections online on the NTA portal. The challenge process is open until 20 February 2026 (11:50 PM). Each objection requires a non-refundable processing fee of INR 200 per question, payable via debit card, credit card, or net banking. Objections submitted without the fee or through unsupported modes will not be accepted. When submitting challenges, candidates should ensure they select the correct Question ID/Answer ID and provide supporting justification where applicable. Validated challenges may lead to revisions in the final answer key.

Next Steps: JEE Main Final Answer Key and Results

Following the deadline for raising objections, the NTA will review all submissions and prepare the final answer key, which will be used to determine the official JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 results and scorecards. The result announcement date will be communicated by NTA on the official portal once the evaluation process concludes. Candidates are advised to keep checking jeemain.nta.nic.in for the latest updates regarding answer key revisions, results, and related notifications.
