The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the JEE Main 2026 notification in the first week of November 2025. The exam will be conducted in two sessions — January and April 2026. Students can appear in either one or both sessions, with the best score considered for the final rank calculation. JEE Main serves as the gateway for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and other institutions. It is also the qualifying test for JEE Advanced, which leads to admissions in IITs.

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Citizenship: Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and foreign students can apply.
- Educational Qualification: Class 12 passed or appearing in 2026.
- Subjects Required:
- B.E./B.Tech → Physics, Mathematics, and one optional subject (Chemistry/Biology/Biotech/Technical).
- B.Arch → Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
- B.Plan → Mathematics only.
- Age Limit: No upper age limit.
- Attempts Allowed: Three consecutive years from Class 12 passing year.
- Marks Criteria: No minimum marks required to appear. However, 75% marks in Class 12 (or top 20 percentile) is needed for admission into NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.
JEE Main Application Form 2026
The application form will be released in November 2025 at the official NTA portal. Students must register online, fill in academic and personal details, upload scanned documents, and pay the fee.
