JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Exam Pattern for BArch and BPlanning
The Paper 2 examination is conducted for admission to undergraduate Architecture and Planning courses offered by NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions.
Paper 2A (BArch) comprised Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Drawing sections. The paper included 77 questions carrying a total of 400 marks. While Mathematics and Aptitude were conducted in computer-based mode, the Drawing section was held offline.
Paper 2B (BPlanning) included Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Planning-based questions. The paper consisted of 100 computer-based questions for 400 marks, without any drawing component.
JEE Main 2026 January 29 Exam Day Guidelines and Dress Code
NTA implemented standard exam-day guidelines to ensure smooth conduct of the examination. Although no formal dress code was prescribed, candidates were advised to avoid footwear with thick soles and clothing with large buttons. As per guidelines, Sikh candidates were permitted to carry religious or customary items such as a Kara or Kirpan.

Strict security checks were carried out at all exam centres before granting entry. Candidates were required to present essential documents for verification. Mandatory items included:
