The National Testing Agency has concluded the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Day 4 Shift 2 examination on January 24 at 6 PM. Candidates now await paper analysis, student reactions, and the provisional answer key.

JEE Main 2026 Jan 24 Shift 2 Ends: Session 1 Day 4 Exam Concludes at 6 PM

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully concluded the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Day 4 Shift 2 examination on Friday, January 24, 2026. The afternoon shift exam for BE/BTech aspirants was conducted from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in computer-based test (CBT) mode at centres across the country. With the completion of Shift 2, Day 4 of JEE Main 2026 Session 1 officially comes to an end.

 

JEE Main 2026 Jan 24 Shift 2: Exam Timings and Entry Schedule

  • Reporting Time: 1:00 PM
  • Entry Window: 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM
  • Gate Closing Time: 2:30 PM
  • Candidate Login: 2:50 PM
  • Exam Time: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Late entry was strictly prohibited, and candidates underwent identity verification, frisking, and biometric authentication before entering the exam hall.

 

Post-Exam Updates After JEE Main 2026 Shift 2

Following the end of the Shift 2 exam, candidates can expect the following updates:

  • Subject-wise paper analysis
  • Difficulty level comparison with earlier shifts
  • Memory-based questions

A combined paper analysis for Shift 1 and Shift 2 will be published once student feedback is compiled.

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 scores will be used for JEE Advanced 2026 eligibility and JoSAA counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
