The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the JEE Main 2026 form correction window on the official portal jeemain.nta.nic.in for candidates who have submitted their applications. Aspirants can now log in to revise key details, upload corrected documents and confirm application accuracy before the deadline. Correction fees, if applicable, must be paid within the stipulated period to finalise edits.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the form correction facility for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. This window allows candidates to make necessary edits in their application details before the final submission deadline.
What Can Be Corrected in the JEE Main 2026 Form?
During this form-correction window, candidates can review and modify a range of application details previously submitted. Common editable fields usually include:
- Name, date of birth, and parents’ names (if errors were made)
- Category details or PwD status
- Medium of examination preference
- Academic details (Class XII board, year of passing, marks)
- Choice of exam session or city preferences
- Uploaded documents (photograph, signature)
Candidates are advised to check their entries carefully and correct discrepancies before the correction deadline to avoid issues during later stages of counselling or admit card issuance.
How to Edit Details in the JEE Main 2026 Form?
Candidates can follow these steps to make corrections:
- Go to the official JEE Main portal: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the link for “JEE Main 2026 Form Correction”.
- Enter your application number and date of birth/password.
- View your submitted application details.
- Modify the fields that require correction.
- Upload corrected documents (if applicable).
- Review all updates and submit the corrected form.
- Make any correction fee payment if required and complete the process.
JEE Main 2026 Correction Fee Rules
Certain fields being modified may attract a nominal correction fee, depending on the category and nature of update. Candidates should complete the fee payment (if applicable) within the correction window to ensure that edits are accepted and recorded.
JEE Main 2026 Important Dates & Timelines
The correction window is open for a limited period only. Candidates are advised to complete the editing process and fee payment (if relevant) well before the last date to avoid any technical delays or rejection of requests. NTA typically announces the closing date on the official portal jeemain.nta.nic.in, and all updates related to JEE Main 2026 corrections are posted there.
Why JEE Main 2026 Form Correction Matters?
Ensuring accurate application details is critical as these entries are used throughout the examination cycle — from admit card preparation to session allotments, results, and later counselling and seat allocation processes. Errors left uncorrected may lead to complications in later stages.
