JEE Main 2026 Exam Dates Not Revised, Confirms NTA Schedule

JEE Main 2026 Exam Dates Not Revised, Confirms NTA, putting an end to speculation suggesting changes in the January session examination schedule. The National Testing Agency has reiterated that the exam dates remain within the previously announced window. The agency has clarified that all officially announced examination dates fall between 21 January 2026 and 30 January 2026, as stated earlier in the public notice and information brochure.

JEE Main 2026 January Session Dates Clarified by NTA

The National Testing Agency had earlier announced that the JEE Main 2026 January session would be conducted within a fixed date range. While the specific exam days were to be notified later, the overall examination window was never altered. Recently announced paper-wise exam dates fall entirely within the original schedule, confirming that there has been no revision of exam dates. The table below presents the officially announced examination schedule for JEE Main 2026.

All listed dates fall within the earlier announced examination window of 21 January 2026 to 30 January 2026.

Why the Confusion Around JEE Main 2026 Exam Dates Arose?

The confusion regarding a possible revision of JEE Main 2026 exam dates appears to have stemmed from misinterpretation of official notices. While the exact exam days were announced later, the overall duration of the examination window remained unchanged. The National Testing Agency had clearly stated earlier that individual exam dates within the January session would be notified separately, which led to incorrect assumptions when the detailed schedule was released.

JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip and Admit Card Update

The National Testing Agency has already issued the city intimation slip, allowing candidates to check their allotted exam city and date. Candidates were advised to review the details carefully and make necessary travel arrangements if required. The JEE Main 2026 admit card is expected to be released shortly and will contain complete information regarding exam centre address, shift timing, reporting time, and exam-day instructions.

What Candidates Should Do Next?

Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2026 are advised to rely only on official notifications and avoid unverified reports. With exam dates confirmed, aspirants should continue their preparation as per the allotted schedule. The admit card will be mandatory for entry into the examination hall and must be preserved for future counselling and admission processes.
