The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to announce the JEE Main 2026 exam dates shortly. Class 12 students preparing for the engineering entrance exam can expect session 1 and session 2 schedules aligned with the recently announced CBSE Class 12 tentative datesheet 2026. The CBSE Class 12 board exams are scheduled to begin on February 17, 2026, and conclude on April 9, 2026. NTA will ensure that JEE Main session 1 and session 2 do not clash with board exams, allowing students sufficient time to focus on both examinations
Expected JEE Main 2026 Exam Timeline
Note: Candidates can appear for one or both sessions. Final scores will consider the best performance out of both sessions.
Registration Process
- Visit the official JEE Main website (expected jeemain.nta.ac.in or jeemain.nta.nic.in)

NTA may also introduce a new portal for JEE Main 2026 registration. Experts suggest that aligning exam dates with CBSE boards is crucial to avoid unnecessary stress for students. With session 1 scheduled before the start of board exams, candidates will have a dedicated preparation window, while session 2 provides a chance for improvement after boards. Students are advised to stay updated on official NTA announcements to avoid missing registration deadlines and important notifications regarding JEE Main 2026.
