JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip Expected Soon for Session 1

JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip for Session 1 is expected to be released shortly by the National Testing Agency (NTA). As of 6 January 2026, the city allotment link has been generated on the official portal, indicating that the slip may be issued anytime. The Session 1 examination is scheduled to be conducted between 21 January and 30 January 2026. The advance city intimation slip will inform candidates about their allotted exam city and date. However, it will not include the exact exam centre address, which will be mentioned later on the admit card.

Current Status of JEE Main 2026 City Allotment Link

The NTA JEE Main city allotment link has been activated on the official website, though it is not hosting the city slip yet. At present, the portal displays a message stating that the advance city intimation slip schedule will be available soon. This development has raised expectations among candidates, as link generation usually precedes the release of the city intimation slip. Approximately fourteen point five lakh candidates are awaiting confirmation of their exam date and city for Session 1.

How to Check JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip Once Released?

After the release, candidates will be able to access the city slip online through the official NTA JEE Main portal. The process will involve logging in with valid credentials. Candidates should follow these steps once the link becomes active:

  • Visit the official JEE Main website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip link for Session 1.
  • Enter the application number and password.
  • View and download the city intimation slip for future reference.

The slip will clearly mention the allotted exam city and exam date.

Importance of JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip

The JEE Main 2026 city slip serves as advance information to help candidates plan travel and accommodation arrangements. While the slip does not include the exam centre name or address, it provides sufficient time for logistical preparation, especially for candidates allotted centres outside their home city. The detailed exam centre address, reporting time, and shift details will be issued through the JEE Main 2026 admit card, which is expected to be released three to four days before the examination date.

Expected Timeline for JEE Main 2026 City Slip Release

As mentioned in the official information bulletin, the advance city intimation slip for Session 1 was scheduled to be released in the first week of January 2026. With the allotment link already generated, the release is expected shortly. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates and avoid relying on unofficial sources for exam-related information.
