To be eligible for the JEE Main 2026 April attempt, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

 

1. Age Limit for JEE Main 2026

The age limit for candidates appearing for JEE Main 2026 varies based on the candidate’s year of birth and the respective category they belong to.

  • General Candidates: The candidate must have been born on or after 1 October 2001.
  • SC/ST/PwD Candidates: The candidate must have been born on or after 1 October 1998.
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): Same as General candidates, born on or after 1 October 2001.

 

2. Educational Qualifications for JEE Main 2026

The educational qualifications required for eligibility in the JEE Main 2026 April attempt are as follows:

  • Class 12th Pass or Appearing Candidates:
    • Candidates who have passed or are appearing for the Class 12th or equivalent examination in 2024 or 2025 are eligible to appear for the JEE Main April 2026 session.
    • Students who are appearing in the Class 12th board exams in 2026 are also eligible to sit for the JEE Main 2026 April attempt.
  • Minimum Marks:
