The JEE Main 2026 application form has been released, and the registration window for Session 1 is currently active on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. As per the latest update, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun accepting applications from eligible candidates for the January cycle. The last date to apply is November 27, 2025, and the form must be submitted online within the deadline.
JEE Main 2026 Registration Updates
The NTA has activated the JEE Main 2026 registration link, allowing aspirants to complete the process through a fully digital system. This year, the agency has made several significant modifications to enhance transparency and security. One of the most notable changes is the introduction of Aadhaar-based verification. All details entered in the form will be cross-checked with Aadhaar records, reducing errors and discrepancies. Additionally, applicants will now have to undergo a mandatory live photo capture using a webcam or mobile camera. This feature aims to strengthen identity verification and prevent impersonation. The live application window will remain open until the final day, but candidates are advised to complete registration well before November 27 to avoid last-minute technical issues.
New NTA Features for JEE Main 2026
NTA has introduced the following updates for the 2026 cycle:
- Aadhaar-based auto-verification of candidate details
- Mandatory live photo capture via webcam or mobile
- Improved document upload standards for clarity and verification
- Enhanced security features during login and form submission
These steps mark a major shift from previous sessions, making the registration process more streamlined and secure.
