JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit card for January 21–24 exams has been released by the National Testing Agency. Candidates must download and print the hall ticket using application number and date of birth. NTA issues official exam day guidelines and shift timings for test‑takers.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit card for exams scheduled on 21, 22, 23, and 24 January 2026, marking an important update for engineering aspirants across India. The admit card (hall ticket) is available on the official portal and must be downloaded and carried to exam centres along with valid identification.
How to Download the JEE Main 2026 Admit Card?
Candidates who have registered for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 can download their admit card using the following steps:
- Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the “JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Admit Card” link.
- Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth (or password).
- Verify the security captcha (if prompted) and submit.
- The admit card PDF appears on screen — download and print multiple copies for exam day use.
Candidates are advised to ensure that details such as name, photograph, exam centre, shift timing, and reporting time are correct. Any discrepancies should be reported to NTA support immediately for resolution.
Important Exam Guidelines from NTA
The NTA has also issued official advisory and exam day instructions that candidates must follow:
- Examinees should reach the exam centre well before the gate closing time to avoid entry issues.
- Carry a printed copy of the admit card and a valid photo ID proof (such as Aadhaar or passport).
- Additional documents like passport‑size photographs and any specified forms (e.g., self‑declaration) should be brought as instructed on the admit card.
Without a valid admit card and ID proof, entry to the examination hall will be denied.
Shift Timings and Reporting Time
For Paper 1 (BTech/BTech‑related exam), JEE Main 2026 Session 1 follows fixed shift timings:
- Morning shift: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
- Afternoon shift: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Candidates are instructed to report to their designated exam centre well ahead of the reporting time, as detailed on the admit card, to complete verification and seating formalities without delay.
City Intimation and Other Updates
Alongside admit cards, NTA has also released city intimation slips for candidates to check their allotted exam city, helping students plan travel and logistics ahead of exam days. Some students report intermittent website traffic issues when downloading admit cards due to heavy load; however, the admit card link remains functional on the official portal for successful downloads.
What’s Next?
With the admit card released, candidates are now focusing on final exam preparations while adhering to provided guidelines. NTA is expected to publish response sheets, official answer keys, and results after the conclusion of all Session 1 papers. These will be crucial for calculating scores and percentile ranks for admission and counselling processes.
