The JEE Main 2026 admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the examination. Candidates without a valid admit card and approved photo identity proof will not be permitted entry into the examination centre. The National Testing Agency is expected to release the JEE Main 2026 admit card around 3 to 4 days before the scheduled examination date. Based on previous trends, the admit card is likely to be issued in the 3rd week of January 2026 for Session 1. Before the admit card release, the city intimation slip will be issued, mentioning the allotted examination city and date.

Steps to Download JEE Main 2026 Admit Card
Candidates can follow the steps below to access the admit card:
- Open the JEE Main candidate login page
- Select the admit card option for Session 1 or Session 2
- Choose the login method
- Enter application number and password or application number and date of birth
- Enter the security pin displayed on the screen
- View the admit card on the dashboard
- Download and take 2 to 3 clear print copies
Mandatory Checks After Downloading Admit Card
After downloading the admit card, candidates must verify the following details carefully:
- Candidate name
- Application number
- Date of birth
- Category
- Examination date and shift
- Examination centre details
Any discrepancy must be reported immediately to the examination authorities before the exam date. Candidates must paste a recent passport-size photograph in the designated space and affix the left-hand thumb impression before reaching the examination centre. The admit card should not be signed in advance.
Documents Required on JEE Main 2026 Exam Day
Candidates must carry the following items to the examination centre:
- Printed copy of JEE Main 2026 admit card with self-declaration completed
- 1 original valid photo identity proof
- 1 additional passport-size photograph
- PwD certificate, if applicable
Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre at least 60 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
