Eligibility Criteria for JoSAA Counselling
It is crucial for candidates to note that to be eligible for JoSAA counselling, they must secure a minimum of 75% in their Class 12 board examinations. This criterion is strictly enforced, meaning that even if a candidate passes the JEE Advanced exam, failure to meet the 75% threshold will result in disqualification from the counselling process.
JEE Advanced 2026 Cutoff Information
The cutoff for JEE Advanced 2026 will be released concurrently with the results. For reference, the cutoff for JEE Advanced 2025 was as follows:
| Category | Cutoff Percentage |
|---|---|
| Common Rank List | 20.56% |
| GEN-EWS and OBC-NCL | 18.50% |
| SC, ST, and PwD | 10.28% |
| Preparatory Course | 5.14% |
Those who score above the cutoff will be eligible to register for JoSAA counselling, which is essential for participating in the IIT seat allotment process. However, it is important to understand that meeting the cutoff does not guarantee admission, as various factors influence seat allocation.
