The JEE Advanced examination will consist of two compulsory papers — Paper 1 and Paper 2 — on the same day. Both papers are mandatory for all candidates.
JEE Advanced 2026 Eligibility and Registration Process
Only candidates who secure a rank among the top 2,50,000 in JEE Main 2026 (including all categories) will be eligible to register for JEE Advanced 2026. Eligible candidates must complete the online registration form via the official JEE Advanced portal (jeeadv.ac.in) within the specified registration window. During registration, candidates need to provide their JEE Main credentials, personal and academic details, and pay the requisite application fee. Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO candidates have a separate registration timeline starting earlier, from 06 April 2026.
JEE Advanced 2026 Examination Pattern and Timings
The JEE Advanced 2026 exam will be conducted in two shifts on 17 May 2026:
- Paper 1: 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Paper 2: 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM
