| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Registration Start Date | April 6, 2026 |
| Registration End Date | May 2, 2026 |
| Fee Payment Deadline | May 4, 2026 |
Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
To be eligible for the JEE Advanced 2026, candidates must meet specific criteria. The foreign national category includes individuals who are not Indian citizens by birth or naturalization. These candidates will compete for supernumerary seats, which are capped at 10 percent of the total intake per stream. It is crucial to note that these seats do not fall under the reservation policies outlined in the Constitution of India, which typically include categories such as GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD.
Furthermore, the absence of gender-based quotas in this admission pathway underscores its meritocratic nature, focusing solely on the qualifications of the candidates.
For OCI/PIO candidates, eligibility is determined by a significant date: those who obtained their OCI/PIO cards before March 4, 2021 can choose to be classified as foreign nationals or may opt to apply alongside Indian applicants.
