JEE Advanced 2026 exam schedule has been officially announced by IIT Roorkee. The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has released the complete event-wise timeline on the official portal. As per the notification, JEE Advanced 2026 registration will begin on April 23, 2026, while the examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
Only candidates who qualify JEE Main 2026 Session 2 will be eligible to register. A total of top 2,50,000 JEE Main candidates can apply for JEE Advanced 2026.
JEE Advanced 2026 Registration and Eligibility Details
IIT Roorkee will open the JEE Advanced 2026 registration window on April 23, 2026 at 10:00 AM. The registration process will begin after the declaration of the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result.
Foreign National candidates and OCI/PIO (F) candidates will get a separate registration window starting earlier. All eligible candidates must complete registration and fee payment within the prescribed deadline to appear for the examination.
JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Date and Paper Timings
The JEE Advanced 2026 examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026 in Computer-Based Test mode. The exam will consist of two compulsory papers conducted on the same day.
- Paper 1: 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Paper 2: 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM
Candidates must appear for both papers to be considered for ranking.
JEE Advanced 2026 Admit Card and Answer Key Schedule
The JEE Advanced 2026 admit card will be available for download from May 11 to May 17, 2026. Candidates will also be able to access their response sheets and provisional answer keys as per the official schedule. After the objection window closes, IIT Roorkee will release the final answer key along with the JEE Advanced 2026 result.

JEE Advanced 2026 Counselling and AAT Details
After the declaration of results, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2026 counselling process is expected to begin from June 2, 2026. Candidates seeking admission to BArch programmes at IITs must appear for the Architecture Aptitude Test 2026, scheduled for June 4, 2026.
